“Making art about horrific subjects is challenging,” says Rose Camastro-Pritchett who has been making art for the past 8 years about the 200,000 “comfort women” used by the Japanese military for sex during WW ll.

Presentations will center on telling the stories; researching topics to accurately present stories; treating subject matter with dignity; choosing art materials, texts and imagery; preparing for and working with viewers who may be/are triggered by the artwork.
Following the presentations there will be a Q & A and discussion led by Lisa Degliantoni.
