Workshop: Love + Loss: Making Your Way Through

  • 1100 Florence Ave. Evanston, IL 60202 United States (map)

Loss comes to us in many forms, and there is often a shimmery layer of melancholy that comes with being alive. Join us in this special workshop where we will delve into how we, as humans, experience love, loss, comfort, joy, memories, and grief.

Not only will we participate in reflective writing prompts, we also will utilize hands-on art making processes to further explore these topics.

Please note that while some participants may feel comfortable sharing their writing and art, there will be no requirement to do so.

This workshop will be hosted at 1100 Florence Gallery, during the photography exhibition: PERSONALITY CRASH : Portraits of My Father Who Suffered from Advanced Stages of Parkinson’s Disease, Dementia and Sundowners Syndrome by SAFI ALIA SHABAIK

Led by teaching artist Jamie Thome

Monday, April 24, 6:30-8:30p

10 people max

$35 (part of the proceeds will be shared with Evanston Made and the Parkinson's Foundation)
